The poems are based upon actual experiences of natures beauty that have evoked pleasure giving sensations in the poet and the poems try to give expression to the joy by the use of words as they mean in the specific context of recollected thought or image , not meaning several things at a time but that which creates an aura or haze of an earlier experience.

I call them celebration because there is no better way of calling attention to the joy they have meant to the poet in experiencing them and an effective poem should re-create a similar celebratory experience for the reader, unless the poet is deficient in his poets craft or the reader has not tried enough to join in the joy experienced by the poet. Some poems deal with nature as it has impacted on my mind, containing element of subjectivity, created as if by a few short swift brushstrokes. They go off on a real thing ,perceived in layers of sound, to a kind of ripple effect touching several things at the same time and are meant to be perceived in a haze.

There is a haze created through words, an atmosphere, an ambiance similar to mysticism. They are but impressions, said Monets critics who derided his abstractions and called them impressionistic paintings and the word Impressionism stuck to the genre. Some of the poems are object poems, so called because we are focusing on the nature of things, on the light that falls on them, telling their stories.

Also on the light that flows from them into the room, into the streets, into the space. The poems are about the way light falls on them, the perspective in which they appear to the experiencer, that is different from others. The way they share space with other things and us.
